Baltimore, Maryland is perhaps best described by it’s nickname: Charm City. The title is certainly fitting. The largest city in the state of Maryland, Baltimore has plenty of charm for everyone! Food, sports, shopping, and entertainment are not hard to find in this city – in fact, they tend to find you!
The absolute first place to go is the Inner-Harbor, which hosts a plethora of restaurants, shopping, architecture, and sight-seeing. The Inner-Harbor is also the host to the National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center, both attractions being favorites with both children and adults.
Maryland is notorious for it’s crabs, and for good reason! While in Baltimore, it is an absolute must to dine on some of the local cuisine, and crabs can be found all throughout the city. If taking a hammer to a steamed crab is not for you, grad a crab-cake and enjoy all the juicy meat without the shell. Other popular local cuisine includes a huge variety of fresh seafood, including the infamous lake trout. Pulled pork is another great local favorite.
Football and Baseball fans are more than welcome in Baltimore. Orioles Park at Camden Yards and M & T Bank Stadium are both great venues to route for your favorite team!
